How do I reach Yellow Key if I need assistance?
You will have a designated contact at our office. You will be able to contact us 24/7 via your owner portal or via email. You may also reach us by phone or text during business hours. All calls that are not answered live are returned promptly. -
How and when do I receive my owner funds/rental proceeds?
We direct deposit your net rental proceeds into a bank account that you specify during your initial account setup. Our goal is to distribute any available owner funds on or before the 10th day of each month. -
How is rent collection handled?
Tenants can submit rental payments through our online tenant portal and have the option to mail or deliver a check to our office. -
How long of a lease do tenants typically sign?
12 month leases are the most common, but we regularly write longer term leases as well. Our average tenant stay is approximately 3.5 years. -
Do you manage short-term or vacation rentals?
We do not manage short term or vacation type rentals such as Air BNB/VRBO. -
How soon can you start managing my property?
We can usually begin managing your property within a week of our first contact. -
What type of properties do you manage?
We manage residential property. This includes single-family homes, townhomes, single condos, and multi-family apartment buildings. -
What type of reports do I receive?
Your owner portal gives you access to a balance sheet, cash flow statement, general ledger, income statement, property statement and rental owner statement. During your initial client introduction call we will show you exactly how to find the information you need. -
Who holds the tenant security deposit?
We hold security deposits in a trust account. If you are already holding a tenant security deposit at the time that you become our client for the first time, you will have the option to continue to hold those deposits until the end of the existing tenancy.
